Film & TV Series

Nafta Films is the biggest new-generation full-service production house in Estonia.

Founded in 2009, Nafta Films is one of the largest production companies in the Baltics, producing and providing service for audiovisual content in all forms (both short and feature films, TV productions, commercials, VR, etc.) Nafta develops projects all across the spectrum — from historical period pieces to arthouse genre films — and is the only production company with offices in all three Baltic countries as well as Lapland.

Our Work

Advantages our region offers

We are the official representatives of the Global Production Network for Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia and Finland. Nafta Films is part of AICP (Association of Independent Commercial Producers).

Nafta Films is the biggest production company to offer services in the Baltics with offices in all three of the countries as well as Lapland.
REGIONAL PRESENCE

Versatile possibilities in production service

Our region has some key bonuses for film productions from all over the world: short distances and low population density make it easy to shoot up to 4 different locations per day — permits and road blockings are easy to negotiate; and most business and homeowners readily welcome film crews into their properties. In general, the costs of production services in the Baltic States are 30% less expensive than in most European countries.

As most Northern European countries, we have a wide variety of locations, crew, equipment and cast available, but at a fraction of our neighbours' costs. Baltic crews and equipment are also the most cost-effective way of shooting in Lapland.
Production Services

Cash Rebates & Funds

The Film Estonia production incentive supports the production of feature films, feature documentaries, short films, animation films, animation series, high-end TV dramas and the post-production of all before mentioned works.

An application can be made for international production service projects or co-productions to receive a cash rebate of up to 30% on eligible production costs. If combined with funding from one of the regional funds, cash rebate can be as high as 50%.
