Funny and Sad Life of George

Julia, a precarious art student, has only a few months left to finish her thesis and persuades Jonathan, a serious art historian, to supervise her. Her eccentric attempts to revive the Fluxus movement in today’s New York – from tongue-in posters to cleaning the streets with a toothbrush – soon turn both her and Jonathan’s life upside down. At the same time, the film portrays Fluxus founder George Mačiūnas, who appears in Julia’s life as a ghost-like companion and inspiration.
